These Terms govern your use of Amara ("we", "us", "the Service"). By creating an account or using Amara, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

Amara is for adults aged 18 or over only. By signing up you confirm you are at least 18 and legally able to enter into a contract in your country of residence.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. Use a unique, strong password. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

Treat other members with respect. You may not use Amara to harass, threaten, impersonate, defraud or solicit anyone, or to share content that is unlawful, sexually explicit, hateful or discriminatory. Our Community Guidelines describe what we expect in detail.

4. Content you provide

You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, bio, messages). You grant us a limited licence to host and display this content for the purpose of providing the Service.

5. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines, or where required by law. You may close your account at any time from your settings.

6. Disclaimer

Amara is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that you will form connections, or that other members are who they say they are — please use your judgement and our safety tools.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amara is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where Amara is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country still apply.
